When your organization grows 40% in two years, the pressure to scale training, SOPs, and onboarding materials becomes real.
That’s exactly what happened at Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) in Los Angeles, a nonprofit that went from 900 to nearly 1,400 employees in record time.
Their Chief People and Culture Officer, Lisseth Zouhbi, realized her team needed to produce learning content faster, without ballooning headcount or budget.
So, she turned to a combination of AI-powered tools — Scribe, Articulate360, and later Kindo AI — to streamline how her L&D and HR teams worked.
Below, we unpack what she did, how it works, and what results she saw so you can borrow the playbook for your own HR function.
When CCRC implemented Workday, they had to create 50+ SOPs from scratch.
Without automation, that would have meant hours of screenshots, formatting, and copy-paste work for every single process.
As Lisseth put it:
“We don’t have a staff of 100 in L&D. We needed tools that could help us move fast while keeping quality high.”
Cindy shared how most teams handle SOPs: record a Zoom, transcribe it with AI, then manually paste steps into ClickUp or Google Docs.
It works, but it’s clunky.
With Scribe, Lisseth’s team simply records themselves doing a process once.
Scribe automatically:
Captures every step and screenshot
Writes the instructions
Formats them into a ready-to-use SOP
Result:
“It takes 2 minutes instead of 2 hours,” Lisseth said.
“What used to take all day now happens before my coffee gets cold.”
The ROI is obvious, especially during large system rollouts or rapid growth phases where dozens of SOPs must be created at once.
Once SOPs were streamlined, the team turned their attention to training content.
They began using Articulate360, an authoring tool that makes it easy to build interactive, self-paced courses without needing a professional instructional designer.
Why it worked:
Built-in AI assistant helps refine writing style and tone
Templates make it easy to keep everything consistent
Modules can be customized for visual, audio, and hands-on learners
By making courses short, digestible, and self-directed, the team saw a significant increase in employee engagement with their LMS.
Employees completed more training because it was relevant, easy to access, and didn’t require sitting through long slide decks or narrated videos.
“The biggest win was time,” Lisseth said.
“Our team can now create in hours what used to take days, and the learning experience is better too.”
As more teams saw success, CCRC decided to scale their AI adoption intentionally.
They began piloting Kindo AI, a platform that accelerates HR admin work like job descriptions and onboarding checklists.
They also launched an AI Governance Committee to create guardrails and guide adoption.
“With AI, curiosity matters as much as capability,” Lisseth explained.
“Our goal is to save time on administrative work so we can focus on creating value for employees.”
Scaling content creation doesn’t require hiring an L&D army. It requires rethinking your process.
AI tools like Scribe, Articulate360, and Kindo show how HR can:
Cut repetitive work
Speed up onboarding and training delivery
Free up HR capacity for strategy and innovation
Or as Cindy summed it up:
“It’s not about replacing people. It’s about reclaiming time for higher-value work.”
